My Crazy Love for Efficiency

I've been cleaning up my room recently.
I made it a rule to clean my room regularly, maybe more than once a week, so my room is always clean.
Thus, before I started to clean my room, I had thought it wouldn't be long till I finished it.
But soon, it turned out that I was wrong.

The biggest reason is obvious: I've bought ScanSnap for myself!
It's really pleasant to see every paper I stacked in my room sucked in it.
I found myself having piled up two or three rubbish bags of paper, which I couldn't carry to the dumping ground once.

After doing with mountains of paper, I started to sort out things in my room. I want everything to be located where it should be.
The basic rule is: the more frequently I use, the nearer it should be.
After several hours of work, I finally arrived the point that nearly everything there in my room, I can explain why it is there.
Now I can reach everything I need without any difficulty of wondering where it is.
I was really glad to see my room in a calm and efficient condition.

But all of a sudden, I've started to ask myself a question: why were you so busy making the room more and more efficient, how can you make use of this efficient room, in other word, what is the efficiency for?

When I start some work, I always like to prepare carefully so that I can finish it most efficiently.
I might like the preparation for it rather than the work itself, how strange!

But now that I've spent a lot of time to improve QOLIMR (Quality of Life in My Room), so all I'll be able to do is to make full use of it. May I call it a sunk cost?

I can be proud my room for everybody, but I have no one to invite.
This will give me a strong motivation to make someone special to invite! lol

I wish you a Happy New Year!
(I wish this phrase will give the good ending to this rambling diary.)
